- Multinational USA and European experience
- Physicist at Strathclyde University
- Qualified LIFO profiling specialist
Peter understands how businesses operate and has coached over 320 executives, as well as young graduates and school leavers, through outplacement and sudden redundancy. He has helped many individuals rebuild their careers and/or change directions. He has run Resilience Clubs for those who require more ongoing support through difficult times. He has multinational USA and European experience with Unisys, Digital Equipment (IT services), as well as managing production and industrial engineering teams in Colgate Palmolive and Metal Box (manufacturing). As a founder and CEO, he also grew his own insurance sector database marketing business from a one-handed start-up to a turnover of just under £5million with 50 staff. He has helped develop teams of sales consultants, marketeers and database designers, whilst hiring non-execs and finding backers.
A physicist by training at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, he also helped his local community as a bereavement consultant, and then went on to study behavioural aspects, becoming a qualified LIFO profiling specialist. He has remained close to the small business sector as a Growth Accelerator coach. For a period of two years, he was also a charity leadership coach for Ella Forums in Exeter and Bristol, and has been the Trustee and Chair for several other charities.
Now living in Ledbury, Herefordshire, Peter has four grown children including an adult special needs daughter with 22Q11 syndrome. He has created a natural balance between work, money, consumerism and having compassion for those who have some life disadvantages or special talents. His own respite comes from helping others, playing piano and guitar, and occasionally (very poor) golf.
